I was thinking about these two posts and I decided to compare red vs blue States on a few more points.
Red: WV, NC, SC, GA, AL, MS, LA, TX, TN, AR, OK, MO, KS, IN, KY, NE, SD, ND, WY, MT, ID, UT, AZ, AK
Blue: WA, OR, CA, NV, NM, CO, MN, IA, WI, MI, IL, OH, PA, NY, VT, NH, VA, FL, MA, ME, RI, CT, NJ, DE, MD, HI,(DC)
Population: (2010)
Red: 112,105,916
Blue: 196,639,622
GDP in millions (2010)
Red: 4,873,432 (equivalent to #4 between Japan and Germany)
Blue: 9,833,700 (equivalent to #2 between US and China)
Federal Tax Revenue (2010 personal & business income, estate, gift, excise taxes )
Red: 670,618,436
Blue: 1,519,021,950
Federal Expenditures in millions (retirement, disability and other direct payments, grants, procurements, salaries & wages)
Red: 1,136,123
Blue: 2,093,259
US Energy Production @78,000 Quadrillion BTUs
Red: 64.4%
Blue: 35.6%
That was tedious!
Missing here is a critical element – Food Production. Blue states less than half as much food, while they have nearly twice the population as their neighboring red states – so if the country splits along these lines, those in red states will be well fed, while those in blue states will face starvation and it’s associated diseases.
Couple this with blue states lack of developed energy resources, and you have the perfect conditions for a successful embargo of blue states by red states; a modern siege of sorts, where rural, conservative America can refuse to further support the seething cesspools of blue mega-tropolises with their attendant corruption and violence, until the ‘powers’ in those blue areas surrender and return our nation to rightul Constitutional government, and are brought to justice for their craven, treasonout acts. (Obama, Cuomo, Feinstein, Schumer, Bloomberg, et. all)
In short, conservative America is holding all the cards, we just have to get over our reluctance to use them.

Or, in the secession scenario, we could sell them food and energy and shift their larger wealth to us.
