The Next “Civil Rights” Cause?

Telegraph

“Paedophilic interest is natural and normal for human males,” said the presentation. “At least a sizeable minority of normal males would like to have sex with children … Normal males are aroused by children.”

Some yellowing tract from the Seventies or early Eighties, era of abusive celebrities and the infamous PIE, the Paedophile Information Exchange? No. Anonymous commenters on some underground website? No again.

The statement that paedophilia is “natural and normal” was made not three decades ago but last July. It was made not in private but as one of the central claims of an academic presentation delivered, at the invitation of the organisers, to many of the key experts in the field at a conference held by the University of Cambridge.

Other presentations included “Liberating the paedophile: a discursive analysis,” and “Danger and difference: the stakes of hebephilia.”

Hebephilia is the sexual preference for children in early puberty, typically 11 to 14-year-olds.

Another attendee, and enthusiastic participant from the floor, was one Tom O’Carroll, a multiple child sex offender, long-time campaigner for the legalisation of sex with children and former head of the Paedophile Information Exchange. “Wonderful!” he wrote on his blog afterwards. “It was a rare few days when I could feel relatively popular!”

Last week, after the conviction of Rolf Harris, the report into Jimmy Savile and claims of an establishment cover-up to protect a sex-offending minister in Margaret Thatcher’s Cabinet, Britain went into a convulsion of anxiety about child abuse in the Eighties. But unnoticed amid the furore is a much more current threat: attempts, right now, in parts of the academic establishment to push the boundaries on the acceptability of child sex.

The rest here, it just gets worse.

  1. Of course the “reasonable” homo-supporters scoff at what they dismiss as a slippery slope fallacy, that the acceptance of homosexuality as a normal choice leads directly to the acceptance of pedophilia.

It is a large enough part of male homosexual culture that the homo lobby might gradually claim that to deny this practice is to deny them their so-called civil rights, and even to deny the rights of minors to this “lifestyle”.

    • I scoff ay anybody who scoffs at a slippery slope “fallacy.”

Thanks to the interwebs, when pedophilia is legalised, we’ll be able to go back and say, “told ya so.”

  2. Most adults born prior to Generation X are already saying “told ya so”
and it may already be too late to reverse the tide without major militant effort on our part. Most of the young today do not see a problem with legalized homosexuality.

        • A simple dictionary consultation will confirm for you that “sodomy” and “homosexuality” are no more synonymous than are “diesel engine” and “car.” Further, sodomy laws weren’t meant to discourage homosexuality, they were meant to demonize sex and relegate it to purposes of procreation.

My original point – that homosexuality was never specifically illegal – remains. And if the extent of your sexual experiences consists of missionary, Roger, you have my pity.

          • You’re right, you could be a homo, you just couldn’t act on it.

“You cannot legislate morality, but you must regulate behaviour.”
            -Ben Franklin (apocryphal)

  3. Reminds me of that freak show progressive professor (?), Foucault. The French queer philosopher that ultimately died of aids. Has his type won? Hardly. But we do have one like him sitting in the highest office in the land.

  4. Its called a “Crime Against Nature” . There is nothing natural about a man f#@king another man in the ass or mouth, “Liberty” and yes it is still illegal. Go offer a police officer a BJ, see what happens. Can you say, solicitation to perform a crime against nature ?
