Chasing The American Dream

I was perusing the FBI’s most wanted lists and I noticed that all of them are dominated by foreigners. The majority are hispanic of one flavor or another, but there are numerous middle easterners and indians. The violent crimes are almost all brown people while the white collar and criminal enterprise lists are have alot of slavic names mixed in with hispanic and middle eastern names. There aren’t many east asians except in the criminal alerts section where 7 out of 10 are Chinese. Two of those Chinese suspects are wanted for sex trafficking while the other five are wanted for conspiracy to steal trade secrets.

Unfortunately, the only list with an appreciable number of American citizens is in the crimes against children section.

  1. Is it just me, or do many of these crimes seem pretty ordinary? What makes a fugitive so special that he makes one of these lists? I guess it must be rare for a wanted criminal to escape justice for very long.

    • I think what makes it most wanted worthy is the scale. A cartel boss is part of a multi billion dollar, international narcotics manufacturing and distributing syndicate where as the corner drug dealer is local.
