Leland Puts Citizens’ Right To Film Cops In Writing

Leland’s policy, which went into effect June 1, states, “The Leland Police Department recognizes that members of the general public have a First Amendment right to video record, photograph, and/or audio record Leland Police Department officers while they are conducting official business or while acting in an official capacity in any public space, unless such recordings interfere with public activity.”
